Dun Huang 敦煌兰州拉面 - Brooklyn: Reviews & Ratings
I love this location. Restaurant is clean, the atmosphere is nice. Our go to are the chicken salad, cucumber salad (if you like a lot of garlic), eggplant with garlic sauce, and their signature lanzhou noodles. If you spend I believe over $60/$75 they give you a $5 gift card discount for your next meal.
I usually come here for their noodles and 1 main dish with my wife. Their noodles are delicious, and we like the main main dish as well. We tried some of their appetizers, and they are fine, I am just not a big appetizer person. This is the usually spot my wife and I come to as their food and price to value is good. Good food with decent prices, can't go wrong.
Dun Huang is a cozy spot for good food at an amazing price. The portions are large, and the flavors are balanced. The garlic oysters were a highlight—huge and perfectly grilled. I also loved the thick noodles in the Big Plate Chicken dish. The beef in the hand-pulled noodles was just ok and could’ve been more tender. The beef skewers were very average, but the enoki mushroom skewers were a surprising hit. This location is brighter and renovated vs. the 8th Ave spot, making it a more comfortable dining experience with less-crowded street parking. Overall, it’s a solid choice for a large meal.
I love coming here alone, they serve quick and their store made noodles are the best. They also have awesome stick food, sides, and the spicy cumin burger. It's clean and has the modern Asian/Chinese style. I think some parts of their menu are an acquired taste sort of thing, but their #1 #2 signature langzhu noodles are listed first for a reason.
I went here for lunch and had the beef bottle and pork burger with soda combo. The beef noodles were good. The broth had nice rich flavor and transferred to the noodles well. The noodles had a nice bouncy bite. The pork burger wasn't so great unfortunately - the pork barely had any flavor but the bun was good. The service was spectacular. They were not rushing me but also attentive and the food came out pretty fast.

This Chinese restaurant stands out for its hand-pulled noodles, especially their signature Lanzhou beef noodles, which deliver a satisfying bounce and rich, flavorful broth. The menu is a rich tapestry of bold, savory dishes reflecting Northwestern Chinese flavors. The Mala Beef Brisket offers tender beef infused with numbing Sichuan peppercorn heat, complementing the Big Plate Chicken—a hearty dish with thick, chewy noodles that soak up a complex broth, making it a memorable centerpiece. For those intrigued by grilled bites, the Lamb Skewers and Garlic Oysters stand out; the oysters are notably large and perfectly charred, capturing smoky and garlicky layers.
Small plates like the grilled Eggplant with Garlic Sauce and Chicken Salad (口水鸡) add fresh, zesty contrasts.
